But the issue is one of downtime. If you purchase your bottle then you need to drop it off at couva or aranguez and wait 5-7days before you get it back.
With a rented tank you can just drop off and collect another one and be on your way.
If you intend on buying multiple tanks then this wont probably be an issue.android79 wrote:Rent is dead money, I think I will buy one
pugboy wrote:Yeah, I rented the big steel co2 tank and only refilled like every 2-3 years
I basically lost the deposit and more in rent compared to buying my own soda type aluminum tank
MG Man wrote:yeah, a couple ppl I know have two bottles for that reason
Lance wrote:Yeah this is ideal.
Hopefully I can reach a point where I can have two own bottles.
I refilled a rented bottle a few days ago - very stringent process due to COVID (btw)
I only just cleared out my rental tab after ~16months. Came up to about $350.
I must say, it burned a little - but overall wasn't a bad price.MG Man wrote:yeah, a couple ppl I know have two bottles for that reason

I only weld for a hobby and cleared my deposit and more after over 2 years, shoulda buy my own bottle from the start.Lance wrote:Yeah this is ideal.
