In delivering her ruling on April 20th2018, Justice Nadia Kangaloo dismissed Mr. Rambarran’sapplication for the said Statement of Reasons, finding that there was non-excusable and insurmountable delay on his part. The Claimant requested the Statement of Reasons, five (5)and a half months after the revocation of his appointment when, Section16 of the Judicial Review Act provides for such requests to be madewithintwenty eight (28)days.
Further, Mr.Rambarran was found by the Court to be guilty of NON-DISCLOSURE in filing his claim. In his MediaRelease ofDecember26th 2015 he failed to disclosethat he had been invited to meetings with the Minister of Finance prior to the revocation of his appointment. Additionally,in his Monetary Policy Forum address on December 4th2015, Mr. Rambarrandisclosed the names of major foreign exchange users. In delivering her judgment, Justice Kangaloo found ithighly incredible that Mr.Rambarran-could notatthis stage-notknow the reasons for his dismissal, which were clearly stated in the Affidavit filed by the Ministerof Finance.

With respect to theClaimant’s request to view correspondence underthe Freedom of Information Act, the Court refused

PNM judges = PNM sinister rules

Only the Privy council saves TT from the clutches of the PNM dictatorship.

If Kangaloos marriage is indicative of corruptive influence.
Is the fact that Ramberran is Dookerans nephew relevant?

what else got him the job...in front of multiple people in and out of CBTT that had better and more relevant quals and experience.
Not like the PP was in the habit of promoting their people despite a lack of quals and experience. :? :?

JWALA CONDEMNS INTERFERING IMBERT

Minister Imbert’s petty and irrational vendetta against me crossed oceans and stretched all the way to Washington D.C. as his machinations reached the G-24 in 2016 and now the proof is in black and white. The Minister had directly intervened and prevented me from being appointed as a Senior Advisor with the G-24 Secretariat, a position I applied for and was offered, in 2016 following my unceremonious dismissal by the PNM Government as Governor of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Following his resounding defeat in the High Court two weeks ago over his refusal to disclose the correspondence which he sent to the G-24 Secretariat regarding my appointment as Senior Advisor at that international institution, Minister Imbert finally capitulated and provided the documents.

The correspondence reveals that Minister Imbert intervened and interfered in the recruitment process to prevent me from assuming the prestigious position of Senior Advisor to the G-24 Secretariat. In her email to Mr. Imbert on 19th October 2016, the Director of the G-24 Secretariat, Marilou Uy, informed Imbert that “For the recruitment of the aforementioned position, the G-24 Secretariat advertised widely, including through the Economist and by seeking recommendations from the Group’s membership. We were seeking candidates with significant experience in international development, particularly, macroeconomic policy and development finance issues. Mr. Rambarran, who responded to our ad in the Economist, was unanimously selected as the highest ranked candidate by both a shortlisting panel and a selection panel comprising representatives from the Executive Directors offices of G-24 member countries at the IMF and the World Bank, and experts from both institutions. I concur with the assessments of these panels and that Mr. Rambarran is the best candidate for the position among those that have applied.”

Director Marilou Uy emphasized that this was a technical appointment with the G-24 Secretariat, not a political one representing the interests of any government, including Trinidad and Tobago. However, the offer for the position to which I had applied, interviewed and was accepted was rescinded on 29th December 2016 after Mr. Imbert’s intervention which included a telephone call to the Director.

Imbert’s pettiness and political blinders prevented me as a private citizen from working for a respected international institution in a capacity that would have been very beneficial to the international image of Trinidad and Tobago at a time when his mishandling of the economy requires maximum external support from experts with the proper training and expertise.

My unceremonious dismissal as Central Bank Governor was not enough – Imbert inexplicably felt compelled to complete my personal destruction by ensuring that I remain unemployed, even if I was the best candidate for the job and could do my country proud at an international level.

PNM political warfare at the highest, though I am strengthened in these battles by my victories in the Courts, which have shown again and again I have been the wronged one here. I continue my fight for justice with my attorney Anand Ramlogan S.C.

Incidentally while Minister Imbert preoccupies himself playing piddly games with me instead of trying to revive our flailing and battered economy, I will not. I could have issued contempt of court proceedings against Mr. Imbert as he provided these documents in two sets, one within the deadline fixed by the Court and one outside the deadline.

But I will not make a fuss about the missed deadline and jump at the chance to have him in contempt. That’s the sort of petty manoeuvre I’ll leave for the Minister, after all he needs all the help he can get, given his failures at not only trying to destroy me but also as a Minister of Finance.

Soon after the judgement, Imbert boastfully announced his intention to appeal the High Court’s decision since we were in unchartered waters with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and he was duty bound to appeal the ruling, but Prime Minister Rowley condemned state agencies for refusing to disclose information sought by citizens under the FOIA. It would be interesting to see whether Imbert still pursues an appeal in this matter.

I am not afraid of this bully and will fight him all the way to the Privy Council if necessary to get my justice.
