I use super and yes I see reduction. Went two weeks on a tank in the Ioniq. This week I haven't even used a quarter tank.

looking forward for the specific cuz i find ~600km for 1 tank not really good; you can get better in non hybrids.

Drove a Toyota Prius in Miami for about 3 months. Got about average 1000-1200 km per tank. Damn car flic**ng ugly but is super impressive with fuel efficiency.

With their freeways you should get better mileage across there than here dependent on your mix of routes

I’m not sure why the Ch-r is so expensive. I know it’s new but with the tax exemptions I don’t know why it’s the same price or more than a Hybrid Xtrail. Be very cautious about what you pay for hybrids a lot of dealers aren’t passing on the tax savings.

It was only launched late last year. Prices should drop in the next couple years

Doesn’t matter. With taxes waived why is it more expensive than a 2017 Xtrail which is larger with more features? And dealers are already making a good mark up on those Xtrails. New is new no matter when it is launched

The almighty Toyota is why? From TTTL to outside dealers Toyota gets a premium for just being!!

Hybrid owners

Postby agent007 » September 26th, 2017, 3:27 am

This is how much it can cost an individual to own these vehicles brand new OTR:
2017 Nissan Xtrail Hybrid 2.0 2WD - $181k (non Autech)
2018 Nissan Xtrail Hybrid 2.0 2WD - $235k
2017 Toyota CHR Hybrid 1.8 2WD - $195k

This would give you an idea as to the major profits the dealer makes on a sale. Seen regular 2WD Xtrails sell from as low as $220k to as high as $247k. Initially, I saw them as high as $255k but prices are more competitive now vs 9-10 months ago. This is the non Autech and non 4wd unit I'm referring to. These T32 Hybrid Xtrails are coming to an end brand new as the 2017.5 to present models (aka 2018) are slowly taking over. If you want a new Hybrid xtrail but don't care for the 2018 refresh then act fast as that supply like I said is coming to an end. Production of the non refreshed model ended in early 2017 to make way for the refreshed version. I really cannot explain the jump in price neither can my contact who supplied me with this info which is to be used as a guide only.

The Hybrid CHR would have been more expensive than the Hybrid xtrail no doubt but for the refreshed 2018 model, those xtrails will command a price premium over the CHR.

^C-HR nowhere says 'death trap'

Test drive the CHR ..

It was actually designed by a race car driver for Toyota .

It is smaller than the Honda Del Sol ..

Another death trap .

This car is the result of a global cooperation between design centres on three continents and was managed by Project Chief Designer Kazuhiko Isawa. The original exterior design was created by Calty, the Toyota design studio in California.

I own a Honda Vezel 4wd, I get about 750-800 kms per $140 super. Car is very peppy and nice materials and well built.

I've checked out the CHR, I find it small, alot of cheep materials and very cheap feel. In person its pretty ugly.

The chr is very busy in its design. Too much things going on in the front and rear bumpers.
U can spend that money on something better.

Dealers have to purchase foreign exchange hence they will want to hedge on the prices.

Why are you so "up-in-arms" that dealers make major profits ?

We live in capitalist Trinidad not North Korea ?

Where did you get a CHR for $195 K and X-trail for $181 K ?

^^ that's sort of silly, at a time like this government should be encouraging as many people to go Greener, they should completely remove the taxes on Hybrids and All electric regardless of engine size.

There is talk they may remove some of the incentives for hybrids lower than 2000 in the upcoming budget.
