Eliminates all PNM ones as they only have Terry D as the token Indian.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley says the Leader of the Opposition Kamla Persad-Bissessar flew for 636 hours while she was head of government at a cost to taxpayers of more than $6 million.

Rowley made the statement during his contribution to yesterday’s debate on the 2016 national budget in the House of Representatives. He said that might be linked to a dubious contract for use of specific helicopters by the National Operations Centre.

Rowley said it was “extremely wasteful for the (former) prime minister of T&T.”

According to Rowley: “The records show that the last prime minister occupied helicopter time of 636 hours, 415 missions at a cost of over $6 million.”

Rowley told legislators: “That kind of expenditure ought not to be on the backs of the people of T&T.”

He said he had no intention to follow in Persad-Bissessar’s footsteps and would be travelling by land and sea.

He said the NOC, which was set up as a coordinating agency for national security agencies in the country “seems to be trying to become another operational arm of the State.”

Rowley said when he assumed office as Prime Minister he saw a document requesting payment of a $500 million commitment for a company called Bell Helicopters. He said he had “some concern as to how that contract was issued.”

Cation needs to adhere with any ramblings from the PNM prime minister as trinis are now learning email gate was fictitious.

If it was true then it was money well spent for government bussiness and least it is not a fake trip to China as Rowley joyrode.

But think of it only the 1% does prison transport and get paid billions to date. I believe their contract was reported at a 100mil a year, so how many years have they been in operation.

Yet still the 1% break the law speeding and real tax paying citizens are fined

I think helicopter trips to and from POS almost daily is excessive either way. I’m not arguing for or against the amalgamated contract.

I don't see it as excessive it's government bussiness and it involves fewer work party details as no out riders are needed. It's a lot safer and it did no inconvenience the other road users.

No speed laws were broken but the PNM prime minister and his lacky Al bundy use the out riders hell mell speed laws are broken daily

Matter of opinion I guess. Fly home daily while the state provides living facilities etc. Either way this is way off the topic of the thread. Besides you are openly anti PNM while I am just anti BS so it will always boil down to that.

Would you live in a place where there are PNM spies?

I am anti PNM for a reason as they are anti citizens . Our quality of life goes down when PNM is in power, more crime, more taxes, more racism, more angry people, more poor ppl, more unemployed folk, more richer 1% and the list goes on and on.

THERE IS NOTHING POSITIVE ABOUT PNM

Wey..well if the demerit point system was already in effect they'd still be safe; it'd just be to pay the $1000. Was that with the LIDAR guns or speed cameras?

I don't think the speed cameras have legal effect yet they jist using it to collect data. At least the one at Wrightson Rd.

Just curious, how TTPS stopping you if you in the right/fast lane and they on the left. Or are they on the right?

I am firmly of the view that most vehicles we have on our roads are designed and 'tuned' by manufacturers to achieve operational efficiencies in the 120kph-140kph range.
There are some really docile puppies (by design) eg smaller engine hybrids etc. where energy conservation is key which tolerate the lower limits we make law here.
This being the case, many drivers easily run the risks of breaking the 'speed-limits' and once policing is stepped-up issuance of tickets would trend upwards.
Please note my observations are not in any way about supporting recklessness, impairment or any other form of negligence by drivers or our authorities who provide 3 lane highways with no regulations governing their use etc, etc.
