There was a top gear race where they took some cars from somewhere Europe through France into some town in England where they had to host some event.

It ended up being the v8 being the most economical compared to the other smaller cars for some part of the course. It was that the engine was lost efficient during that part, where the other cars were having to to be in efficient to Generate the power to maintain that speed.

From the energy industry, the graphs for temperature and Vibration for some machines are available. U would see that that there are optimum ranges of operation for those Machines. And they are not necessarily the lowest or the highest.

no speed limit increases.

the roads are in a physical mess.

drivers lack the education.

people getting killed.. nah, it won't work.

PNM and UNC if they support this, need to take road safety classes. or not just buy dey ting from wherever... yes, cars are better made them 30 years ago. but car design is not the only factor. how come the stretch south of chag have so many accidents? it's because it's straight, open, and no police to catch speeders. did Dr. R or Mrs. KB think of this before voting on any law change? no! he only have shaven head, and she only have election win wit Vasant bitching.

There needs to be a total change in how the roads does work, from laws, to ministerial changes, to regs, everything. http://www.trinidadexpress.com/20160510 ... ot-so-fast

arrive alive were right.

South of Chag? No three lane highway.

Because when u have panzies drive 60 on both lanes, but one trying to over take the other... Along the whooooooooole stretch till the bottom of the highway, there is it much for people to by pass those.
Meeting that up once, twice okay. But then the rest of the traffic just builds up right behind. And then it's repeated till the bottom of the highway.

That annoyance causes people to take additional risk to not get caught in those rolling traps. Either by tailgating or weaving.

Slow ass driving obstructing the natural flow of vehicles. Put a third lane to let the driving styles stratify.

Agreed. Many times have I seen a build up of traffic, thinking it's an accident and when you reach a high point and look down its because there's one idiot that is cruising at 60 km/h on the overtaking lane. Between that and maco traffic, I'll never understand and to make it worse some of them are fully aware of what they're doing, because they either stare at you when you overtake them on the left or they slow down even further to match the speed of the vehicle on the left, rendering it impossible to pass. And these people reproduce. Lawd.

Don’t forget the Foreshore hasn’t changed. It’s still 80.

slow trucks make up a large part of the traffic south of chaguanas to claxton bay
not to mention the container trucks coming out of pt lisas
it doesnt take much for a couple slow trucks to cause massive slowdown all the way north until the 3rd lanes opens at chaguanas

22 women ticketed for speeding

Published on Jan 17, 2018, 3:34 pm AST

Twenty-two women were among 51 motorists held by police for exceeding the speed limits, in separate exercises on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The first exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Neville Adams, of the South Western Division and supervised by Cpl. Mukesh Deonarine, of the Speed Unit. It was conducted between 2pm and 6:30pm, on Tuesday along the South Trunk Road Extension, in the Oropouche District, where the speed limit is 80 kilometers per hour (kph).

During the exercise, one vehicle; a Nissan Frontier, was clocked at a speed of 115 kph, by officers using speed detection devices.

Overall, 18 speeding tickets were issued in this exercise, which also involved PCs Heeraman Ragbir and Kurt Bertrand and WPC Gina Ali, of the SWD Speed Unit.

In the second exercise, 33 speeding tickets were issued to persons exceeding the 50 kph speed limit, along the Valencia By-Pass Road this morning. Officers of the Sangre Grande Traffic Section and Valencia Police Station, conducted a speed exercise between 8:10am and 12 midday on Wednesday during which 24 males and nine females were arrested. The highest speed recorded by officers during the exercise was 81 kph.

The exercise was led by Sgt. Chris Edwards of the Valencia Police Station and Cpl. Joel Frederick, of the Sangre Grande Traffic Section.

Generally satisfied with the change I can cruise at 95km/h without feeling like I’m crawling, vehicle still operating under 2000 rpms so fuel consumption is optimal.

40km on the m2. Certain parts 40 is OK, but the vast majority 60 should be fine, cause 80 is very drivable

She passed them about 10am when she was heading out the rivulet, and then when she came back from South about 2pm, that's when she got caught, so I guess they were setup there for a while
