It seems everyone clamors everyday for the corrupt to be brought to justice but when the due process is followed and its to close to home they are defended as martyrs.
The courts will decide their fate don't prejudice the process based on party lines.

It is amazing how the PNM has these cases/shots to buss on standby to wait until UNC brings something against them.
Seem like it worked for us fools cause I not hearing about the AG spying case any more.

While I get the distasteful nature of it....isn't Kalco YET to be found guilty on any of the investigation s??????

A reference check doesn't require hard evidence and or being found guilty in a court of law, just the word of the referee. I'm guessing Kallco used neither EMBD nor Min of Tourism as their references. Or Min of Works didn't bother to check with either or just left out the past references section in their tender.
The minister is never and should not be directly be responsible for contractors and or it's tendering process. Come to think of it that's why Moonilal in this bachannal right now coincidentally. There is nothing stopping KALLCO from tendering they fit all requirements as per the UDECOTT tendering process and won by default due to them being the cheapest $400million it should be even more shocking to find out who were the other contractors who lost to this process due to being more expensive. It's amazing how these big contractors have inflated the cost of construction over the years it's sickening. But I guess it's more politically enticing to clamor about the fact that he is the Minister of works family. KALLCO in my opinion should never have an opportunity to get another contract because of Maracas and how they balls it up and that was under the previous administration.Redman wrote:Dizzy28 wrote:Redman wrote:What's the grounds for DQ ing Kallco?

I'm not endorsing...Kalco and it's directors should be flogged just for Maracas.
But we all know that they would cry foul, and go to court if the allegations were used to DQ from tender.
Sadly it's the same proven guilty concept shifting is again.

This is the same party that bashed kallco left right and center when PP was in power.
Aren’t they the same contractors who left Maracas in a hot stinking mess and the works were incomplete.
What criteria was used by NIDCO to recommend Kallco for the highway project.
The Minister of Works wasn’t aware that the Office of the AG was pursuing a matter against said company????

Lol I love to read people in the ole talk thread try to ice common logic on things that have strict procedures and laws. It does not matter if they balls up in a previous project my friend what matters is the tender package they submitted is detailed from cover to cover on the logistics of constructing the highway and the amount of money being used and where. A company doesn't simply stick a peice of paper in a box saying 400m in the tender box for the contract.
The minister is never AND SHOULD NOT be involved. There are aristocrats such as engineers and other professionals who are just normal employees like you and me who are paid within the state company be it UDECOTT or whoever who peruse and determine that this is the correct which has value for money and using the correct tools equipment. It is sometimes these individuals who tend to also be corrupt and receive kick backs. These are the said individuals who currently have the PATT in the situation it is in today.
When a Minister gets involved in this process he or she should be dealt with accordingly which is what Moonilal is allegedly being taken to court for. Money and paper trail does not lie.
P. S kallo barely got contracts in the PP govt SIS. Got the bashing and it was from Jack Warner (ILP)
