KPB will have a ' mandate'

Quick question, who will get more votes?
A : A UNC party with an african as it's head
B : A PNM party with an indian as it's head

In recent memory, the only person who could have pulled that off was Jack Warner while in the UNC. He was Chairman and was one step away as political leader but his sins at FIFA caught up with him. It would have been interesting to see if Kamla and her supporters would have accepted a challenge from Warner for political leadership.

Faris al Wari at one point was a big IF as political leader. Lots of talk was going around in the PNM camp, especially the women but Rowley neutralized him hence why you don't see him much. Can't have a deputy that is capable of outshining the leader. If he wasn't an MP and the AG, Rowley would have shipped him out of the country as a diplomat which he did to Pennelope Beckles and Amery Browne to defuse any future rivalry.

Probably B. The Political Leader of the PNM is just a figure head. The party is controlled by the General Council, hence the reason Manning "voluntarily" stepped down when he lost the 2010 election despite petitioning said council to remain to in charge during the party's transition. So long as the composition of that party organ maintains the "proper characteristics"... ... they could put a crapaud for political leader and still get their requisite votes.

But at this present point, what African really in line to take over the PNM at this point? Besides Rowley, that party has almost no African figureheads. :drinking: :drinking:

They will find one to keep the afro-vote on lock so that the 1% will continue to have their way.

but 1% dont buy votes.

The math is that each major race only makes up 30% of the populaton-with an average of 60% of the registered voters actually coming out to vote ...we can see thsat the racial vote only gets their party halfway to the post.

The swing vote gets them past it.

I feel Moonilal pushing KPB to the top in order to kill UNC in 2020 elections in exchange for the PNM to move slow on the case.

Only that stupid explanation could justify the stupidity of the UNC PARTY enabling her to win.
Oh and Rowley in a fashion show on the front page of the Guardian........thats my trifecta of stupidity for today

Chanda Bhaggan is the Krish Jurai of this elections??
(Krish Jurai has run in every GE election since he was replaced as the MP in 1995 as an independent for Cumuto/Manzanilla garnering 150 to 200 votes each time)

Maybe this is a sign that Baldylocks should remain there yes. Give him two terms so he cannot use the "one term is not enough" excuse.

Ah mean his "the sky is falling" and "tax the sh!t out of them" policies already has the country reeling so let him be the one in charge should things fall apart. That will cement his legacy as the worst Prime Minister this country has ever seen.

Not that it would matter to him anyways as he would probably live out the rest of his days playing golf or planting his pole in someone else's ravine nuh...:|

well clearly current govt and past govt not much to offer to the 1%, else i am sure they could have offered sh!t for them to make their money and keep it and also provide and give something back to the people.....
