Morocco 0 Iran 1

Heading for a goalless draw until Bouhaddouz’s unfortunate intervention as he tried to clear Ehsan Haji Safi’s cross but only directed it past his own goalkeeper.

Morocco sub Aziz Bouhaddouz broke down in tears after his last-gasp own-goal handed Iran all three points today.

Morocco Aziz Bouhaddouz is just the third player to score an own-goal as a substitute in a World Cup match, after Laszlo Dajka 1986 for Hungary against USSR and Petit 2006 for Portugal against Germany

16th - 3pm - Croatia vs Nigeria - Kaliningrad Stadium

Nigeria soccer fans are accustomed to bringing live chickens to games for good luck. it's their symbol

And, sensing World Cup staff might have an issue with that, they asked Russian officials if their fowl could accompany them to matches of the Nigerian national team also known as the Super Eagles.

Russian officials unsurprisingly said no. No chickens allowed.

A pig with "special powers" has chosen the four nations that will reach the World Cup semi-finals - and England is not one of them.

Mystic Marcus, a micro pig from Heage, Derbyshire, chose Belgium, Argentina, Nigeria and Uruguay.

He correctly predicted the outcome of the 2014 Fifa World Cup, the Brexit referendum and Donald Trump's election, said owner Juliette Stevens.

Well done Iceland — packed their defense and took Argentina out of their natural "ground passing" game.

Still wondering why the South Americans didn't send more air balls into the Icelandic penalty area. They muss-be say Messi too short...:|

Penalty miss aside, Peru playing good.

Gotta admit that new VAR review system has proven its worth.

Cnc coverage is the worst. Slow motion and sped up at the same time. How is that even possible ?

Dais a hard luck, if Peru had scored that back heel it would have been the goal of the tournament.

The upcoming fixtures against France should be very competitive based on what we've seen today.
