Elon Musk will send his Tesla Roadster to Mars on a giant rocket.

Elon Musk says the first test launch of SpaceX's massive new rocket will happen next month.
Its destination? Mars.
Its cargo? A Tesla Roadster with David Bowie on the stereo. The Falcon Heavy would be launched with the aim of putting its payload in orbit around Mars. The rocket's rather unorthodox cargo will be Musk's own "midnight cherry Tesla Roadster playing Space Oddity,"
It will, Musk predicted, "be in deep space for a billion years or so if it doesn't blow up on ascent."

Wonder if any cameras were placed in the car to stream back live to earth

It had but the cameras ran for only 4hrs until the batteries died. Seems like no thought was given to placing solar panels on the car to generate power to keep it live.

NASA made note of it in the known space object records with a projected orbit... since it has no tracking beacons they think it will scare future generation of astronomers when its detected and they realize its not a natural space object.

one day maybe 100 years from now someone will capture it and stick whatever is left of the car and starman in a museum

there is a package for the 2020 Tesla Roadster that will have air booster rockets from the Dragon space capsule attached to the back to give it an extra push. It's available for the public to buy

Not exactly a fake, it was a 3D render to show what the acceleration of 0-60 in 1.1s would possibly look like with the cold gas thrusters, was never meant to pass off as an actual video of the real thing
