REIGNING Chutney Soca Monarch Neval Chatelal has filed legal proceedings against former national footballer Dwight Yorke over his failure to repay the singer the sum of $250,000 that was loaned to him last year as a means to clear off some of his debt.Even though Yorke has repaid the sum of $50,000 that represented the interest payment agreed upon, to date, Chatelal said he has been unable to recover the capital sum loaned despite multiple attempts to do so. Last week, his attorneys filed the lawsuit at the San Fernando High Court after Yorke did not respond to a pre-action protocol letter issued to him last month, threatening legal action if he did not repay the ­money.
