Stuarty get call out on the mis-management of the rescue operations and he lose he cool yes. If he coulda cuss Urvashi Tiwari Roopnarine on national television he woulda do it.

Buh it good, ah glad she expose dem. If they smart they will go back and put things in place to deal with similar situations should — God Forbid — something like this ever happen in the future.

Is anybody actually coordinating the relief effort, all I seeing is odpm reposting other ppl work.
Word on the ground is that while even though plenty help coming in, it's not reaching into plenty of the side streets and persons further inside.
Isn't this where they can easily use uav's and GIS systems to make sure ppl that needs it gets it?
It not that hard but you need more than just talk and press conference

3500 homes got affected. so average 7142 per home. schoolbooks, uniform, clothes, appliances, vehicle

what i want, is after things settle back, for insurance companies to do an evaluation on various places. they will raise or lower their premiums dependent on exposure to risk. it would be interesting to see their findings for their estimation of exposure to flood.

cause minsiters blaming people building on river banks, and then hdc gets plans approved for building in low lying areas.

i agree with shitkicker, again, that people need to place to live.
but u cant demonize the squatter with a shack on a river bank, and sympathize with the govt authorities for effectively doing the same thing, but with more people and more finances at steak.

From the private kitchen I worked at on weekend and what I have heard
It seems majority of relief is via local councillors who are coordinating and collecting from the private persons efforts And handing over to other councillors at the various affected areas.

As well as the many private persons doing their own thing directly like the kalpoo bros with their boats.

That spot has been ‘slipping’ almost a year now and nothing proactive was done by the CTTRC to prevent this from escalating.

Often enough they actually have door dams. Not much places I see with those.
The San Juan River runs behind them and that usually is their source of water.
