With the completion of the CRH/UBH (Churchill Roosevelt Highway/Uriah Butler Highway) Interchange, the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, in its continuing efforts to improve and develop the road network and alleviate traffic congestion, will soon be constructiing another interchange at the intersection of the CRH and the Southern Main Road Curepe. Upon commencement of construction the project is expected to take 18 months to complete.
The benefits of the Interchange once complete will include:Reduce traffic congestion
Increase capacity on Churchill Roosevelt Highway
Improve access to / from adjacent communities
Improve pedestrian accessibility and safety
Reduce pollution
Reduction in road user cost
Reduced fuel consumption
Reduction in emissions which results in reduction in pollution due to reduced idle times at intersections and traffic
Ultimately it will improve the lives of citizens
