So this morning in City Gate, they were doing some work so people who took the short cut (via the 'do not enter' sign) to get to the bottom of Charlotte St. had to go through City Gate, come out by the traffic lights, then walk acros to Charlotte St.

The Occifer tell de woman not to pass by de shortcut. She get vex and allegedly slapped him. This is the aftermath:

Not sure if brave or dotish to slap a police just so especially when the cop doing he job to protect she dotish arse, this is a problem with Trinis, they only like shortcut, they does build walk over for pedestrians but trinis insist on jaywalking instead of walking up some stairs and then wrong and strong with ah "bounce meh nah" attitude.

not the origin of the problem, but a popular symptom.

d real problem is ppl so accustomed to doing the wrong thing, that when you call them out on it they feel as though you wrong for telling them to not do the wrong thing. Some will try to justify their actions with an excuse because they know they wrong, & but most will go down to the wire trying to convince you that you wrong for pulling them up & that there is nothing wrong with what they doing.


Simple solution-it has a stairway in that disembarking bay iirc, so just put a gate if there isn't one there already & close it to pedestrian traffic, & those same ttps officers could man the gate so that only if someone that is literally physically disabled & cannot make it up the steps, grant them access thru. Everybody else, is steps fuh dem.
