About the buried pipes, would surrounding it with a length of plastic barrels of water help reduce impact?

When the car hit the barrier infront the structure while sideways ,
it made the car go up, like in this pic, hitting the structure
So roof and cage , made the contact with the structure airborne and faced the full weight of the car @ 120+ MPH.
Unlike like Ryan Garcia ''Rolling''.

those temporary barriers were improperly placed and used. they need to put barriers on either side parallel to the track. this is the only way it will be 100% effective . also not those segmented barriers. you need to have a continuous wall.
the only way a concrete safety barrier can be 100% effective is if cast in place in segments no less than 30m (if i remember correctly) at a time . this length is required to ensure enough strength and weight of the barrier. also, different shapes are used in worldwide drag strips for different outcomes . some that inflict less damage to the car and less g-forces to occupants but a small risk of roll over and some that inflict more damage and g-forces but ensure no rollover. the two types i mentioned here are new jersey style/f-type and the 42" vertical barrier
those barriers they placed around the structure probably made it worse .. who knows .. they need to do some serious research on how these things work and make the correct choices moving forward ..
