Good point...that's why we plan to take as much time off (vacation) from work to assist with that.Ted_v2 wrote:Make sure and go the first couple of days with the kid and spend a couple of mins at least. Dont drop him off and leave.

I disagree with this. Lingering exacerbates the separation anxiety I find. A quick and decisive drop off on the first day, with significant prep before hand.

In terms of food, ask him what he's comfortable with. If it's just a sandwich, cool. He can eat properly in the morning and evening.
Agreed on fruit plus one snack, water and a juice box. The sunshine mixed snacks for 25 work out pretty good. They are small and single portion sized for kids. The orchard 200ml oj is good too.
For fruit I either provide a whole banana or something cut up like pomerac, grapes etc.
Mine is starting primary school as well.
Not too worried as most of her preschool mates will be with her so she'll have some company.
Part of growing up!

Though the latter can be true, in the instance of my very own Daughter starting Primary School in Sept, there's an existing pest at her Preschool who's prospective for the School my Daughter was accepted...
Not very healthy as this child literally gets time out almost everyday, but seemingly hidden due to the parents close involvement with the school...!!!
Not too hard to decipher that she was evicted from some other Preschool...

How about meals? Any advice on what to pack for a 5yr old who regularly has to be literally spoon-fed?
