Pothole Season

Postby aaron17 » June 19th, 2018, 9:10 pm

Its that time again..not seeing the potholes on the roads with the rains. We are not perfect in remembering the holes. I went down in one the other day. But I would like to know how to check if anything is bad . I don't want to go to do alignment everytime. Any tips?

in almost every car - theres a pedal that is located next to the accelerator pedal.
in manual transmission cars the pedal is located in the center of the 3 pedals.

its called the brake.
if you are unsure. press brake pedal and drive slowly.

if you drive slowly and still damaging suspension components.... it was shot to hell in the first instance.

Opindra...if you cannot remember where the holes are, or you are unfamiliar with the area...drive slow. Allow impatient drivers behind you to overtake and use them as guinea pigs.

Reminds me of last year during the rainy season driving through Woodland in a pothole infested stretch of road....road filled with water and went down in one...well I felt like the whole vehicle (drive a pick up btw) was swallowed in it...but luckily came out alive...ting is I had to pass back on that same road on my way back so was trying to remember which part it was...memory did not serve me right and I was swallowed once again...glad to be alive to tell the tale.....and the stretch of road was eventually patch paved.

You'll feel it on the steering pulling or knocking. Jack up front of vehicle and shake the wheel left to right.if you feel or hear knocking something is bad. For me the worst is getting a bent rim

No actually I'm very satisfied that our roads were paved to perfection with box drain on both sides. Our area always get neglected under pnm tenure. From Street lighting to water supply.

PNM supporters always grumpy because a gun is being held to their head to support every pnm pothole.

few yrs ago i know d feels of hitting a almost new wheel , bussing d tire & leaving a scar on my rim

couldnt see 1 chit during d rain d road appeared smooth then ah hard knock when d wheel went into d hole , drove home slowly & didnt realise d tire had cracked open

end up changing d tire & next day passed back to see where d hole was , no way u cuda see it when rain filled it up

best u get a 2nd set of wheels with a smaller rim & fatter\taller tires for rain season .....
