Any stamp collectors here?

Postby MG Man » July 2nd, 2018, 4:10 pm

My buddy inherited a huge stamp collection, mostly local and regional. First day cover etc
We’re trying to find someone who can do a valuation of the collection. Any ideas?
The pics are a tiny part of the collection

Try reaching out to TTCollectors on facebook. They deal in old currency, but they might be able to point you in a helpful direction.

there are sites online where you can pay and send it abroad to get a full valuation

There is a society called the Philatelic Society of Trinidad and Tobago.(Official name for stamp collecting) They meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at St Mary's College in PoS. These are the guys you wanna chat with... I can't find a number right now for them but you can contact the president, Mr John Chay via email at, President@trinidadstamps.org.

I am also in possession of a huge collection of old Trinidad and Tobago stamps that I haven't gotten around to getting evaluated as yet but I plan to one day...

question...as i know nothing about stamp collecting....

are you supposed to collect used stamps - ie stamps that have been used and have the date seal stamp on it ( like in the pics ) or are you supposed to collect new unused stamps - to make up the collection ??

why dont they allow us to make our own stamps like in the usa.??
my family in the usa had some special stamps made of their cat and they used it to post a Christmas card.
custom postage stamps would be awesome.

Usually used stamps - in good condition .

Some are new like a new edition stamp in limited quantity etc.

You have special family in USA :D

Why cats ? Are they cat people ?

ohh....i always thought you collected new stamps and not used ones.

not really special family is just that the USPS allows custom postage stamps.....i dunno why that isnt done here.
Maybe it will increase the amount of letters being mailed... ( and the amount of fraud too )

link for the USPS custom postage stamp>>> https://www.usps.com/ship/custom-mail-stamps.html

which leads off to their vendor site for u to get started to make ur own postage.
vendor site >>>> https://photo.stamps.com/Store/?source=si10985886

Cats are evil . The owners are psycho.

They ( the cats ) look at you crossed eyed :D

Some stamps are very valuable .

Even the new ones .

But you gotta wait - like waiting for Tida to become a classic :D

Everybody has an option not to agree or agree with RedVevo.

Stamps collecting is a good hobby though .

You can learn a lot from where they came from etc.

Most tuners here have an IQ of 15 .. give or take minus cosine 10

But not you .. you smart :bday:
