Yeah at 8:12pm, on land too near Arima.

Good thing the depth is 39km. If it was the typical 10km, north, east and central would have been in for a lil treat.

He predicted the general area but suggested the magnitude to be around 6 so he was close. He said this 3 weeks ago when the 7.2 new guinea earthquake hit.

From 14-15/06/19 (local time) a burst of volcanic earthquakes was recorded in southern Dominica. Some of these have been reported as felt. These earthquakes were smaller than magnitude 3.8 which is below the threshold for posting to the SRC's social media platforms.

This activity is part of an ongoing series of earthquakes in that area which may be described as volcanic unrest. The unrest does NOT necessarily mean that an eruption will occur but as seen in 1998, larger magnitude earthquakes can occur and so the public should remain vigilant. From 2000-2004 there was similar volcanic unrest activity (bursts of earthquakes) that did not culminate in an eruption.

The Seismic Research Centre is continuing to monitor the activity and provide the authorities with regular updates.

not counting the cost of lives lost of course. so i take it Japan spends trillions on buildings as they have to protect against 9s?
