Advice Req - How to setup Account with US Bank

Guys, I'm looking for some legit advice on how to go about setting up an account with a US Bank being a non-citizen and not physically located in the US.

So, how can I do this from Trinidad? It is possible? Surely, some here has accomplished this.

i remember a thread like this a few years ago. basically you have to represent yourself in person to open the account. Non citizen not too important, but not being there in person is a huge red flag.

Well the major commercial banks kina on the same level, idk about the smaller ones. im dual cit. so no prob for me but my sis did open an account years ago without issue. she uses it to this day to sell on ebay from trini, and operate airbnb. I think you would more have to walk with proper id and a reason why you want to open a bank acc in the us, and possibly declare s.o.f. that should be about all you need. You can always reach out and send an email or use their online chat service. they all have them.

You HAVE to be physically present to do this. You also HAVE to give them a US address (it could be a relative's address). You need to present your passport and having some cash in hand to deposit helps. Bank of America is quite amenable than most of the others. Don't talk to the CSRs as they are unaware of the policies regarding non residents and would tell you it cannot be done. Ask to speak with a supervisor or client services manager at the branch and they will organize the paperwork for you. It's really that simple.
