Can I remove the stupid chrome things on a Vitara.

There is chrome on the lights....chrome on the gas tank cover....chrome on the side mirrors....chrome on the hood vents....good Lord help me please....it's embarrassing to drive with it.

De-chrome using vinyl- see it done being on a regular basis. Gloss black is the standard/go-to colour but dependant on what the colour of the car is you may want to go with something else

can be removed try wd40 to remove / release the adhesive from the chrome trim.
alternatively u can black out the chrome with plastidip.

Yes a heat gun will remove it perfectly.

I agree those chrome crap looks hideous especially when they use either some cheap version or they stick it poorly and you can actually see the faults in it.

Dunno why people put this on their vehicles, the only way it would look good is if it was chrome from the factory or something.

Op, is permission you want to remove it? You realize you make a post to ask if you can remove something you don't like on your own car? Suppose everybody told you no you can't, would you remove it? Just trying to figure out what you really mean.

I want to know if I can remove it easily without any damage being done to the vehicle. And to everyone else, yes, it was a great deal on a used vehicle. So, I overlooked the cosmetics. Also, thank you you those who answered, it really was helpful.

had that issue with the NCC1701A sportero I purchased, wheat could've been removed with heat gun etc removed paint as well... ended up just using vinyl on the areas after
