Tell me nah..lol. A system happened to find itself in a conducive environment for growth I guess. It's origin is really messed up though..

Afternoon update: Hurricane watch issued for part of Gulf Coast, but still no Barry

It’s still not a tropical depression, but it could become a hurricane and hit the Gulf Coast in just a few days.

The National Hurricane Center began issuing advisories on what it is calling Potential Tropical Cyclone Two on Wednesday. It is forecasting the storm to become Hurricane Barry by Friday and make landfall on Saturday in Louisiana.

The hurricane center added a hurricane watch to storm surge and tropical storm watches already in place for part of the Louisiana coast on Wednesday afternoon and said that heavy rain -- already falling and causing flooding in some areas in Louisiana -- is expected to continue along the Gulf Coast.

Look lively, people..TTWC says it could hit us as a strong tropical wave. It looks like it should swing to the north but TTWC says otherwise..

From T&T Weather Center:
10:15AM: As forecast, the hind leg of Tropical Wave 19 is moving across Trinidad and Tobago presently, producing isolated to scattered showers.

A mostly sunny, increasingly hazy evening into a settled night is forecast as a brief surge of Saharan Dust returns to the region.

Invest 93L (Tropical Wave 21) is forecast to move across T&T and the Windwards as a tropical wave Monday into Tuesday. We may see some showers beginning Sunday night as the ITCZ moves northward.

A full update will be posted later today on Invest 93L, Saharan Dust & the Tropics.

Saharan dust is dampening a lot of these systems.

It is a pity because we need the rain.

When people had was to pay tax/tribute to the land lord, and they needed to do stuff based on the new moon, it mean that month had a jump start on the other months based on the timing of lunar and Gregorian month.
