In order to unlock the doors to release the hood latch, one must raise the vehicle and connect a battery charger or jumper cable to the starter + terminal and to the vehicle chassis to activate the electrical system or charge the battery. One must be very careful not to short the positive lead to ground as this may cause damage, and one must also take care to assure that, when the vehicle is raised, it is safely ad properly supported with safety stands and wheel chocks to assure his/her personal safety. It may just be easier/safer to contact a towing company or roadside assistance (if offered through your auto insurance, this is definitely the best way to go) and have them perform the tasks necessary to assist you in releasing the locks to provide you access to the vehicle.

rspann wrote:The alternator terminal is high up in the tiida and is blocked by the A\C compressor so you won't reach it from below( the car locked so he can't open the hood) but the starter terminal is accessible from below.
rspann wrote:Jack up the car, remove the lower engine shield use a battery and jumper cables.put the positive jumper cable on the nut that holds the starter lead and the negative on any bolt or metal to ground. Press your alarm remote to open.
You could also pull down the right front fender shield and pull on the cable that goes to the hood lock, it will pop open.

rspann wrote:Tumblers could stick and cause that ,but In his case he said it was turning. Once it turns it should open, unless the rod is disconnected. I've seen where there is an actuator installed for alarms that causes his problem when there is no power.
