Ignorant statement...you'd be surprised to find out who actually follows what show and who travels often even though they make far less than the average person. Anywhere our country is mentioned, as long as it isn't negative, is good for business.Gladiator wrote:brainchild wrote:Where tourism marketing is concerned, the point is to attract everyone...lower, middle, upper, ghetto, posh, gay the list goes on. So whether the show appeals to you or not, I'm pretty sure it reached its intended audience. So let the ppl come n spend their money, let dem bring shitty sheets, weave whatever. The US have shown us their worst over the years n is still a long line by the embassy every day, they don't care what attracted us, just that we came n spent our money.
The low class fan base that this appeals to don't have any extra cash to go on a holiday anyway....

About 36% of Americans actually hold a US passport.Gladiator wrote:brainchild wrote:Ignorant statement...you'd be surprised to find out who actually follows what show and who travels often even though they make far less than the average person. well since you have all this wealth of information do share it to back up your claims... how many hoodrats and their families take Caribbean vacations annually, and if not hoodrats, how many people watch this show and would visit because of what they see on it??? The pineapple farming piece on Sesame Street would bring more tourists here for sure...
That 36% is mostly white America.brainchild wrote:36% of the US population is 117 million ppl. If .5% of the population encouraged to visit by that show is a huge win for us. All I'm saying is i don't get why men toting so, if it make enough of an impact to have big men discussing it in a forum then given the following these ppl have in their country it bound to have some positive effect on tourist activity. If it doesn't then what did we lose?
We have our own citizens talking like this is the worst country on earth daily, politicians always foreseeing some doom when they not in power, murders, kidnappings etc and venezuelans still coming and the rich not leaving (truest sign of a country in trouble) so what is the harm in us being featured on one show that everybody sayin they don't watch but taking time out their day to imbed vids and talk bout?

nah, there are real good African movies on Netflix. Tbh, some of them better than a lot of US movies. Watch Beasts of no nation if you doubt me.
