Why so much businesses having these " tent sales".

Noticed as of late many businesses having these " tent sales". They have one or two tents outside their business and have selected items on "sale". When you go and check the prices of these items there isn't much difference in price of these items as it was in store. Is it that trinis really believe once you see a tent set up you getting a bess deal.

They're trying to drum up business too i.e. sale items will pull the crowd and hopefully increase foot-traffic in-store.

Interesting thing is when yuh could "skybox-in" an item cheaper than the "tent sale" price...

The intent is to generate buzz and increase consumer traffic, some businesses use it to move old stock. This upcoming weekend alone you'll have several housewares/ building supplies/ food and beverage retailers hosting warehouse sales

Construction is at an all time LOW for local contractors, Chinese companies are being handed everything and CARICOM is rolling over backwards to allow them to import everything including labor and finished products...……….. No regulation of what is imported again ………….. what else you all expect ?

Sometimes I love allyuh tuners yes, hahahahha. Look like I stockin up of some Hoegaarden and wine this weekend once the prices good.

I don't buy sale items unless I familiar with the regular price first.

Ghany and warehouse sale not really a new concept though. They always have those tings and log up the Trinicty Industrial Estate area. You can get some good prices on non electrical home tools albeit no name stuff - like rubber boots, 3 line, spades etc.

trinis like d sidewalk\tent concept , check chaguanas main road sidewalks , sometimes same items in d store same price but if a man stand up with a few in his hand or rest a few on cardboard on d road : ppl start to flock like ay look ting & it cheap , it in front of them within arms reach so they buy ....
