Look how people running with the stupidness the news outlets release.

The officer being restricted from entering the academy has nothing to do with his Facebook post.

He was already on suspension for another incident a while ago. An officer on suspension isn't allowed on a police compound unless it's on official business. He is also on pre-retirement leave pending his retirement having attained the retirement age of 55.

His being restricted from the compound has to do with an incident involving trainees, which I cannot discuss as it may be sub judice.

No wonder Gary hates some media personalities.

The Express never reported any of that. They wrote the article specifically highlighting this Facebook online post thing and committed the CoP to being the bad guy. They mention "an investigation involving serious breaches of academy policies" and that's it, just went on how he wrote something and Gary took action. So the public thinking that the fb post was the serious breach and that Gary is Pol Pot now.

That's really bad reporting by the Express. That's sensationalized reporting half the irrelevant story and deliberately leaving out of the report what's actually the situation and what's going on.

Please clarify... it makes it sound like he was suspended twice (for a previous issue and this current issue) and is also... because of these two suspensions he is not allowed on site? Also what does his pre retirement leave have to do with anything? Further forgive members of the public that find it all too convenient that the officer was suspended around the time when he made a facebook post about a policymaker that has demonstrated several times with their fb conduct and press releases that they have thin skin and abhor any criticism directed to them... the issue is not with the news outlet... its to do with the collapse in public trust... only one person to blame for why people quickly believe that the suspension may be because comments were not received well

The express played up on the timing of the suspension... the coincidence of it occuring before or after his FB comments were made... i see nothing wrong with that... given our politicians tendency to victimize and attack people who disagree with them (recently Faria for example)... it would have been nice to know what these serious breaches are... but i doubt we will find those out till the next 3/4 months... gotta give the TTPS time to find these breaches... the officer in question could also tell us what those breaches are... as he should have been told what violations he commited that caused his suspension... imo the timinig is fishy... waiting to see where this story goes

^ people more willing to talk in police involved shootings as they less likely to be repraisal kills for their testimony (as the cop(s) involved risk high scrutiny)... for other crimes... their is an 80 per cent chance of u becoming a statistic following your testimony (how much times we read about witnesses getting killed)... so people dont come forward... again irs the ttps to blame... clean out your service... people who defend the ttps say is because of the small fries... is them that have corruption in the ttps rampant so... once u clean them out problem solved... i guess hackshaw is an outlier then... the ttps is a failed service... all u can do as a private citizen is buy alarms and cctv for your house and alarms, trackers and dash cameras for your car... u have to try to protect yourself... as relying on the ttps is a recipe for failure

^ you talking about the three men who were killed in a 'confrontation' with police... 3 men who were killed today... and were suspected of killing an officer around 3 a.m. saturday morning... i never knew balistics, forensics etc does process in a matter of hours to narrow down your suspect pool... also it is alledged that the officer died from one gun shot wound to the head.. i didnt know it takes 3 men to hold a gun and aim it properly enough to pull of that murder... would explain why in 'confrontations' with bandits 9/10 tines no officers or vehicles get shot... i swear ttps must be feel we just a set of jack@ss in the place yes

This is a cctv video of the police shooting of the 3 guys... not everything is in shot.. but it should be pointed out that it appears that the driver had both hands out the window... one of the passengers came out with both hands in the air... their did not appear to be any signs of a shoot out between the suspects and the police... you guys can view the video for yourselves and see... incidents like these are why BLM came about
