Boaters who were sailing off Messina, Sicily, got a close-up look at Stromboli island’s volcano erupting.

They say if you see an erupting volcano and cannot cover it by sight with your thumb, you're too close to it and the pyroclastic flow. Death will either come horrifyingly fast, or painfully slow with respiratory problems.
