So I’ve been hearing. Can you give an example of something you bought (total weight and price) and the cost to clear it with DHL?

Amazon charge you for the custom/duty/tax bill so you don't get charged again when it clears customs. The good thing about using Amazon/DHL is that you will get a predictable tax charge - if more, Amazon eats the cost, if less, they refund you.

Really , I will try it out next time though , but were the articles large where bringing via plane from DHL might be more expensive ?
Where do you collect the package? By your door step or by DHL office?Ted_v2 wrote:i shipped quite a few pc parts thru amazon global shipping, which was done thru DHL, no issues. arrived on time. proper tracking thru amazon.

Amazon will make you pre pay a deposit for taxes based on their estimate.
If taxes end up more than the estimate... Amazon will absorb it
If taxes end up less... They will refund you the difference
You don't pay anything further on deliveryMusical Doc wrote:So if I shipping something from amazon to trinidad costing $100 and it says $20 usd shipping, when it gets delivered do I have to pay anything other than the $120usd that I initially paid?
I also want to know what address you using, is it addressed to TT Post or your local address?wagonrunner wrote:What's the procedure to use DHL shipping?

Ohhh excellent . Definitely have to give it a try . Is there any fuss by amazon when you switch back and forth between account shipping addresses ?
Undeliverable
Unfortunately, a problem occurred during shipping and we had to cancel your delivery. The package is being returned, and we will issue a refund within 3 - 5 business days after the return is processed. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.
