IGL was $42 to fill a small tank and $80 for the big ones earlier this year when we had to buy for my father. He passed away 2 days after we rented the big tank from Trius so we ended up returning a full tank.bluefete wrote:A pardner of mine got sick recently and now has to buy oxygen to live.
He bought a small tank for about $300.00 plus the cost of the relevant valves.
He said that Trinitogas in Sea Lots do refills of oxygen for about $150.00. But that will only last him about 2-3 days.
Is there somewhere else that does cheaper refills of oxygen?

I see them being advertised for home use.

I see those, particularly the portable ones. They might be a good option for someone that doesn't need a lot or all day use. the questions tho is what's the cost to maintain a unit, & how many l/m can it produce, as well as how clean is the O2 it & what grade of O2 it puts out
last thing you want is to have to be inhaling O2 with contaminants like oil vapors. Safest bet, fastest bet is as I said, dual tank Y system.

Oxygen for cutting and medical oxygen is different purity levels.

A 5 lpm oxygen concentrator is $9,000 VI from AALaquis.
If you use oxygen for 10 hours a day, the oxygen concentrator pays for itself in seven months.

Small bottle system by Massy Gas was $4,000. You can rent a big bottle with a $2,000 deposit.
