Paria sells Unipet gas at international rates and Unipet has to apply back to the government for the subsidy ....Government owes Unipet millions they not saying that .

Trinidad sells gasoline at US$0.86 per liter. Today's spot price for Gulf Coast Gasoline is US$1.46 per gallon. That is about US$0.38 per liter or nearly US$0.50 less than the selling price.

There was a recent article printed regarding US petrol prices at the pump being lower than Trinidad's, including US government highway taxes. I don't know what the contract price was with Unipet, but there may be no government subsidy applicable to recent sales.

Then the average daily cost of the subsidy is 4.4M TTD

A 30 day month means 147M....
Discount 20% for lower oil prices if you like-100M per month in USD.
