Number Plates.

Postby Issuesman666 » December 20th, 2019, 5:11 pm

Lenny Sumadh does not have all the letters to make number plates according to a representative. She said 'Sometime next year".

Who can recommend a place in south of similar or comparable quality?

Custom plates coming January
The new license plate system, which would include radio frequency identification markers should be available from early next year, Minister of Works and Transport Rohan Sinanan has said.
Sinanan also explained that it would also aid the police in the identification of fake license plates on stolen vehicles, as they would no longer be able to have plates created at various car shops and other locations across the country.

Would the RFID only work for identification of plates or also location?

Pretty sure the brain power behind this new plate initiative hasn’t figured out those details yet.

i think it would work via a beacon on certain places of interest, such as hyatt intersection, rienzi kirton by sapa in sando etc

just major places to ping your broad location at a certain times

If it were full on gps? lol no

ferris al wheelie family have to get their hands in more pies before they draft that up

You can set up RFID to track vehicle movement across a wide geographic area by maintaining the vehicle history data. A similar method is used for tracking the movements of a mobile phone user.

RFID answers back to a beacon. You would typically use RFID for recording vehicles passing a gate or checkpoint for access control or to pay tolls or parking fees. It can also be used for speed cameras and red light cameras -- to trigger the camera and capture vehicle information.

You can also sweep past stationary or slow moving vehicles and record their location and ID. RFID is very often used in inventory control.

In Trinidad's use scenario, it is most likely being attached to the vehicle plate to prevent plate counterfeiting. RFID tag information is typically encrypted and difficult to counterfeit.

Thanks. I guess it makes no sense to get Lenny Sumadh plates at this point in time.

Anyway they don't even have all the letters in stock.
