Keith is really fed up of with allyuh Trinidadians.

Too much time is being wasted on these conferences on the topic of irresponsibility.

Luck will get us through this.

Keep faith and be safe.

PM Rowley:

“3 months is a short term horizon. We could well be dealing with the effects of COVID-19 for 18 months.”

“Any decision on the reduction or even increase in the measures will be taken closer to April 30.”

“Whatever the government decides will be based first on the science and the circumstances that face us.”

“A state of emergency brings nothing more to the COVID-19 fight than a reduction in your civil rights+an increase in police powers.”

He gave an example of the ease of lockdown restrictions, stating that Denmark allowed kindergartens to open.

Not true.

The loans from CAF have been approved by the bank's Board of Governors.

The money is available for immediate access if required, but the government has not drawn down on the loan as yet.

Maybe so, but still the usual suspects and many of these are in positions to drive change but have us in the rut we are in... But that is for another thread.

Good day, this may not be the forum for this but there are two forms from the gov't regarding relief from loss of income due to covid 19.
One form from NIS and one from Ministry of Social development. which is the form that people suppose to use and what is the difference.

according to the data we've collected, most cases were imported, there is no spread in the population, so u can go ahead.

if their data is incorrect, and it is in the population, kindergarteners is the worst group to restart with. because they require interactive attention and will be an unavoidable carrier.

unlike older children who u can easily instruct them to decontaminate and self isolate and not have to closely interact if they do get to be carriers.

we have no data to say it IS in the population tho, so, no problem. go ahead. my OPINION is fake news.

Too many party people.

IMHO this should be as open source as fk.
Bring some foreign consultants and increase the local participation and make it mandatory to publish all content.

We need to PLAN and execute our way out of this.
not revisit the mistakes of Vision 2020.

Wasn't there a financial council of sorts at the start of this administration and they resigned saying their recommendations were not being heeded?

Why would folks assume this group would fare any better?

I'm glad they are trying, but why do this now?

The initiative to develop a recovery plan is laudable.
I certainly see this as an urgent imperative and must admit I have some notions of what needs to be done.
The country must be hopeful that the road-map for recovery would be properly structured and implemented.
The players involved must stick to proper motives and avoid battles of intent and professional and other biases.
This is a really difficult bunch to manage and time certainly not on our side.
BTW, election time is not to far away and this may work in our citizens favor.

Terrance Farrell led the Economic Development Advisory Board and conducted a state enterprise review. Nothing came out of it.

New York has like 2000+ deaths (not cases, deaths!) per day- epicenter of the world so yeah they have to be stricter
