Anyone else with Clubbed Feet in Trinidad and Tobago?

Postby viedcht » June 18th, 2020, 12:29 pm

Usually I don't try to mention this to other people, but other than being diabetic (type 1) I have clubbed feet. I've never met or known anyone else from TnT who has this condition. I'm curious to know if there are others willing to open up about their experience.

Guy i went to high school with had it. It was a permanent limp and custom made shoes to fit the shape, but surprisingly he was always the fastest runner in Sports Day.

He had several surgeries as an adult to correct it and now walks normal. No one would ever know.
You can definitely consult with a orthopaedic specialist to get more info if you looking at that option.

Dr. Trevor Seepaul
Dr. Leroy James

Thanks for the info, I had corrective surgeries soon after birth, and last at 3yrs.

Guys he is now 30 years old and no issue with his feet only issue is we need to ensure he uses shoes with proper arch support.

Yeah that's important, after some years I started using construction boots, alot less costly than custom shoes which worked good, but switched to sneakers... that's when issues began with my feet again. Avoid soft shoes at any cost.
