Customs in Trinidad has been on rotation, so only 50% of their staff working at any time, as a result they have cut their processing also by 50% and they are also closing earlier, don’t know why, as if closing earlier will keep away COVID, but it’s now a serious frustration to get your stuff cleared, you need an appointment to go to customs to get your own goods.

I personally, I was thinking of a reservation system like cinemas.
U reserve ur date for specific beaches and ur only allowed to remain with that pass. Each beachwill have a max cpapcity.

But really, its easier to just station police to keep people spaced.

I can see a online reservation system working for every track in Manzan. I can also see police posted at every hole between Salibia and Matlot. Good ideas man, good ideas

you put them in all dem hole in the east is level cook, rum and if them limin by the beach what about patrolling the city and towns ? police securing the beaches and river more important than securing the businesses and petshop in the areas. ( i see a marked vehicle pull up by a petshop opposite the bank in san juan yesterday to buy dog food)

at any point in time u see 40 officers in sando high street. if they could check up on self quarantined patients, they coudl at least throw ah eye on the beaches when they passin. once they find it getting denser than a city streets, they ride out some people, last in first out.

And this isn't something like dengue/insect borne viruses where you control the vector that carries it and control the spread

You can't live with it either as it spreads rapidly and one can have their health deteriorate in a matter of days

Only way forward is really a vaccine

Or if you can fight it, basically only the strong will prevail?

Friends,

The beaches can be opened, yes, but not when the Trinidadian mentality exists.

If you can control a crowd of strictly 5, not 6, 5, in a beach, then you can in any other establishment.

The problem is Trinis are irresponsible which is why the beaches are closed.

Do not blame the Govt, blame yourselves and your countrymen for their attitude towards this pandemic.

Yes yes yes ..

All people who are sick and have pre existing conditions .. will die .

It's evolution .

The virus separates the strong from the sick ( weak ).

The rum and puncheon drinkers especially 8-) or maybe not.

If you have the virus and you wear a mask , and you sneeze the people next to you will get the virus 8-)

Hence stay away from ALL people.

Hence social distance .

also even many thousands even without health conditions will have what is being called 'long covid'- they won't simply get over it like a flu. they will have long lasting reduced lung capacity and other issues with any other organs of the body.

and men in their 30s and 40s have died- even without health conditions locally

^^

There was a NBC Report that confirmed that smokers and vape people are first in line to die if virus positive .

Every smoker know that TT smokes are like 20-30 times stronger than smokes in civilized normal countries .

Every strong smoker in TT who is virus positive will die (100%) since the virus attacks the lungs.

So if you are a tuner smoker or vape addict it's bye bye time .

R.I.P

while I agree with Covid being respiratory related...u taking facts from NBC as opposed to the World Health Organization? ur sounding like a victim of the same thing u preach on tuner. LMAO

PS: one of the released covid 19 patients is a friend of mine.....he bought a pack of dunhill upon release. lol

not justifying smoking in any way...it's bad....just saying u should hakuna your tattas and look at facts.....not sure if u know as yet but news agencies are not always about facts....especially NBC.

Then we grieve. Other children are dying all over the world. Pray for them too.
