Ads messing up browsers

Postby pugboy » October 23rd, 2020, 4:26 pm

What's the deal with the digicel browser ads ?

they sometimes take up the entire left vertical half of the browser
and other times you are reading a post near the bottom of the thread and it just jumps to the top of the page.

Both on apple devices and pc browsers

Crank your browser zoom up or down a bit and it disappears

Yes the ad agency knows and they are working to fix it.
Sorry for the inconvenience
Seems to be affecting screens with lower resolutions of 1024 and lower.
It's fine on mobile devices though

My little laptop really affected as well. Both right and left sides and at the top.

Just like what pugboy posted.

It disappears with a browser zoom of 125%.

On phones, it auto-scrolls to the top randomly, quite annoying.

Just got this from the ad agency:
"The small screen issue has been fixed. We are hiding the sidebars and only displaying the header and footer in small screens. Changes are in production. Please clear cache and try again."

So try clearing your browser cache and trying again.
Let me know if that works.

The add is blocking the left side of the screen....on the 2019 ipad....but not on the older desktop.

If i dont log in-and in the incognito option on the ipad...i would see the whole screen.

Right now the forums is barely usable. Everytime I try to scroll down on Android mobile Chrome browser, it automatically scrolls to the top of the page instead - like what happens when a URL with "#" at the end is clicked.

Works ok on Microsoft Edge (lol).

I understand what is being done but it's a bit annoying. Ched loads correct initially, then the ad loads in the background and extreme sides throwing off the ched format.

Fcuk digicel, fcuk angostura and until it's fixed fcuk 2nr.

I don't use an adblock for 2nr because it's a free site I would like the site owner/developers to gain financially from their hard work through ad revenue, but if it makes the site almost unusable, fuckit.

I'm using the tuner mobile app, no Digicel or Angostura ad, no blocking screen

It's like the developers intention was for you to accidentally click on the ads so they can get paid, it seems like that to me. It's taking a few seconds to load the ads so by the time I try to click the menu I end up clicking the ads. Please tell me I'm wrong
