DMX, American rapper and actor, dies aged 50

US rapper and actor DMX has died at the age of 50, five days after suffering a heart attack.

The performer, whose real name was Earl Simmons, had been placed on life support and died with his family by his side.

In a statement, his family said he had been "a warrior who fought till the very end".

"Earl's music inspired countless fans across the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever."

Remember having to hide this CD from mums when I borrow it cuz this was definition of " daz devil ting!"

One of the most influential artists in music.. lots of relatable struggles as u got older to really appreciate his writing

Some ah allyuh was prolly in Form 3 or Std 5 when DMX got arrested in the Oval in July 1999....they should find the Brown caot and interview him...lol

Wasn't into his music when he was the big thing but i always wished he would overcome his troubles and enjoy the wealth he managed to create, balance off his rough early years.

He was apparently doing well , guess he had a moment of weakness and relapsed and subsequently overdosed then had a heart attack . Dude left a legacy! RiP X

I remember going this concert . Amazing performance . Never forget the quote ‘ they putting pressure on me ‘ this was when the police were troubling him . Saw Super Cat same time who is the undisputed worst performer on stage in the world
