Paul to fit the 15s u could tray a 1" spacer to try and see if it would fit.

Even the 16s need the spacer, well offroad steels I talking about eh, alloys might work with out it.

Take ur time on the road ... Ur centre of gravity is much higher than a car and you have no weight at the back esp if ur unloaded.

I should say that you shouldn't be driving at those speeds but if it is inevitable here are some tips:
As was mentioned before the higher center of gravity and a relatively unloaded rear axle makes for some lively driving
1. Increase your following distance - vans do not stop like cars so if they suddenly apply heavy brakes and you have to stop. .. Give yourself the distance required
2. As the roads get wet - check #1 and increase the distance further. Smooth driving inputs also help
3. Tyres - you either got the Bridgestones or the Michelins from the factory. The Bridgestones have piss poor grip in the wet. The Michelins have better all around grip. If 95% of your driving is on the road, consider HT Tyres over AT. Wider and lower profile tyres still improve the grip in the dry with the subsequent trade off in aquaplane resistance in the wet.
If you can find a set of original 18" or 19" prado rims; you can simultaneously achieve a lower profile with slightly wider tyres without any loss to ride height. It also opens up your options to tyres that generally have more grip on the road. (Think high performance SUV tyres)
I've spoken much on tyres but it is the one upgrade that makes the most difference
4. Learn your vehicle - try to accelerate quickly from a stop in the wet and see how easy the tyres break traction. Apply emergency brakes in the wet at low speeds and get a sense for how the ABS works and also how long it takes to stop etc.

That's about it....

Be wary of slight drizzles of windy road .... Have experienced a lot of fishtails like that.

In my first pickup I did a full 360 spin and ran off Rivulet road, ended up buying 4 michelins after that and was good for the next 4 years.

kamakazi is spot on, but be wary with the rim upgrade as it might void your warranty. If your truck comes with the bridgestone duellers, do yourself a favor and trade those tires in for a better set of AT or HT tires (there are tire places that accept your tires for credit on a newer set they sell).

Keep the advice coming. Lots of info here. I'll definitely trade tires for Michelin or other good HT/AT set.

Btw i heard Toyota bringing the 2015 Hilux as early as January 2k15

Changed out my 2008 Hilux Tailights for the 2014 liked this style , both sides lined up and plug in the oem socket , ordered form Thailand, much cheaper than the firm with S & H .

Next step changed the 08 grille and front bumper to the 2010 meaner style by next week will have pics , every thing lined up straight down to the flair holes just prep for painting .

Just got my 2.5 from the firm yesterday. I Must say for the past week or so i have been reading this thread like crazzzzzyyyyy. Lots of good info for us who are new to the 4x4 scene keep it coming. I will definitely post any questions i have etc.

One thing tho should i buy into the whole "you have to service by Toyota for us to honor the warranty" or is it better for me to go by my own mechanic?

How long did you take to get your 2.5? Did licensing take long?

licensing took 2 days (well we got the vehicle 2 days after Toyota told us it went to licence) to complete still haven't received the certified copy or the inspection certificate Toyota said they will contact us when it is ready.
