one solution i came up with with surprising results is just before the primary filter i cut the hose and installed a $10 straight gas filter.. since the gas filter picks up the larger particles and gunk it saves me a lot of trouble wrt the primary filter

now i change the filter roughly every 2 months or when it looks dirty and the primary filter every 5k .. i do this because an automatic fuel pump is damn expensive as well as where i fill up sometimes in whiteland junction w/ville has old tanks so i am not sure about the quality.. i do the debe-tabaquite run every day and filling up in debe with that traffic is hell

You 's a brave man to full up there.

On another note,we bought a B2500 last year, had some problems after filling up at said gas station. The van would lose power dramatically and break down in a matter of seconds. Had to remove to fuel line from the tank at the filter and blow whenever this happened. There was a piece of something in the tank that was blocking the fuel according my uncle who drained the tank for me. Never had trouble again

While trouble-shooting we realised the strainer in the pump not there, how important is this to my engine, and what damage to the engine may result?

^^ that strainer is very important. not having one will shorten the life of your fuel pump quite a bit.
and those things are not cheap.

my advice is to get one, either from the dealer, or maybe sookhai's may have..

Sabot wrote:Good buy, when I bought mines I did a full fluid change just to be sure and that was at 27000k. Stick to the Castrol for the gear oils since the Mobil has been noted to wear certain bronze components on internal Mazda parts in gearboxes and diffs.
As far as turbo timers go according to mazda with the WL engines they say there i no need to install a timer. Just to be on the safe side I installed one of the remote start viper alarms which came with a built in turbo timer and if you don't have an alarm already its a good investment. Like they said; 30 psi is what is indicated on the original sticker on the underside of the driver door and is all I ever used. The secondary filter in the pump (strainer) tends to get really dirty from time to time and will need to be cleaned or replaced. Dealer has this filter for approx 100TT.

hey guys , have a mazda b2500 turbo 2006 model , thing only does about 4500rpm wen it supposed to be doin 5000 , can you help.i changed the primary fuel pump with the big filter and my secondary
strainer is clean , oils changed , turbo filter clean. and where is your dealer located in which i can get the secondary fuel filter the little one and is there a contact? thanks :?: :?

why d you want it to go rev 5000 rpm? the guys would tell you it doesn't make sense sending it or trying to send it to 5k rpm and its a wlt engine in it worse yet. my advice is dont try to send it to 5000 rpm.

26 spline axle
4.44 ratio

The automatic Rangers have a higher final drive, will need to source a similar manual Ranger to get matching gear sets..

it unlocks the front wheels electronically.

If your going to use the 4WD again, you can leave it locked.

With the Mazda you have t6o stop to engage the 4WD initially, but once the RFW light is on, you can take out and put in 4WD on the fly... or drive... but at low speeds, no need to come to a complete stop.

Changing to 4L... you must stop completely
my light keeps flashing.
