I don't have a lot of info on this engine... The main concerns are if this vehicle has an EGR and or a DPF. These devices limit your selection of engine oil and limit how long you can run it in your engine.rmrunner wrote:kamakazi wrote:rmrunner wrote:Thoughts on changing from Amsoil 15w 40 in common rail diesel to either Mobil 1 synthetic or castrol synthetic? Saw some of you guys using the Valvoline Premium Blue. Is it a good alternative if changing at 5000Km? Where can I get to purchase and last price per gal?
I urge everyone to please stop using fram filters! They are dangerous to your engine!*$kїđž![emoji769] wrote:See the Fram filter box ..it says 8000km on the boxkamakazi wrote:Not all...$25 Purolator and Fram are recommended to be run for 3000miles

I still recommend Chevron Delo from Pricesmart for a good affordable diesel engine oil at 140 a gallon.
Haven't got any problem with any branded oil... But I change at 5000-7000km (conventional or synthetic) and haven't used anything heavier than 15w40.
Somple youtube sesrch will give you all the info you need bro.. Just search why not to use fram filters*$kїđž![emoji769] wrote:Please explain
