Saw some of you guys using the Valvoline Premium Blue. Is it a good alternative if changing at 5000Km? Where can I get to purchase and last price per gal?

We have some fleets extending the oil drain intervals on their equipments to 12,000km (equivalent 400 running hours) but this can only we done based on analyst and proper baseline and logging the fleets.

For the higher mileage diesel engines we have this product in stock
http://hd.valvoline.com/our-products/va ... 1513259957

As for retail prices you would have to check shops across the country for that since we don't control and mandate a certain sell price.

Premium blue is available in
Premium Blue 8600 ES 15w40 in gallon and quarts
Premium blue extreme 5w40 full synthetic in gallons
Premium blue HD Maxlife 15w40 gallons
for European vehicles Synpower MST 5w40 Euro formula. quarts

I don't have a lot of info on this engine... The main concerns are if this vehicle has an EGR and or a DPF. These devices limit your selection of engine oil and limit how long you can run it in your engine.
I still recommend Chevron Delo from Pricesmart for a good affordable diesel engine oil at 140 a gallon.

Haven't got any problem with any branded oil... But I change at 5000-7000km (conventional or synthetic) and haven't used anything heavier than 15w40.

I urge everyone to please stop using fram filters! They are dangerous to your engine!

It has dpf and egr. Most modern diesels do. The delo in pricesmart I saw was the gold for 145 but the spec sheet stated it is not for dpf and egr. The delo sde that is recommended for dpf and egr is about $200 a gallon at the distributor lube Tech. However the Mobil 1300 specs is almost similar to that of the delo sde and is $155 a gallon. And both are for egr and dpf. Currently running the Mobil. Both oils are 15w-40. 5000k intervals

Well you set there... Honestly thought it had no EGR or DPF when I made a suggestion. My Toyota does not have any so I have a wide selection available to me... Let us know how it goes

Went this morning to buy Amsoil 15w 40 in the black bottle I usually pay $305 a gallon but salesman told me it`s now $367 a gallon. That`s a huge price increase for me. Can anyone else confirm if Amsoil prices increased?

Yup...One of the reasons i switched to motul, and the motul oil is working really really well in my van, the navara engine is workin smooth and less 'injector rattle'

same or higher specd than most of the oils according to the composition (Tbn etc, on par with liqui moly)

400$ for 5L (1.3 gal) my van uses around 6.5 so there's alot left over for next oil change

Most of our welding equipments came with the fumuto valves to make oil changes a lot easier...
