to the 3.2 owners, what sort of fuel consumption you all get to 1/4 tank and empty?

To gas light I usually get about 550kms. I ain't fill up in a while so idk how much it'll take with the be price

Yea I'm not getting that at all..... Sent it in for a service / injector cleaning today

I usually reset the info display every time I fill up and manage about 12L/100km

Will reset it as well after the service, when I dropped it in this morning it was saying 15.4L/100km but was less than 1/4 tank and I got 365km

Go figure

That's way too high. 12-12.5 is max with very spirited driving

I get 9.7-10l/100km right now. Don't drive too hard, I'd say average.
Get close to 600km just about quarter tank remaining, supposedly about 100 more to go, but as a rule I've never run down to fuel warning light.

That's the 3.2 auto? That mileage normal for that combo?
I find it low.

@ 10 l/100k, my full tank estimate is like 668km. Usually fill at 550-600, usually on quarter.

Yup, 3.2 auto...I don't know if it's normal, but for sure I do not get 450/500/550/600 km to a tank

So I changed the display to show km/L, reset it every time I would start up.
Generally it's around 4.5/5.9 in and around, highway so far it goes up to 12.9 km/L; will continue monitoring

Also reset the fuel (km to go) capacity on fill up yesterday morning

How do you change it to km/L? I reset mine on Monday, did just about 300kms and managed 9.3L/100km

Also from asking another 3.2 owner , 2006 model he doesn't get 550 to a tank more like 450....maybe the first gen had poor diesel consumption?

that's what i'm trying to find out…what fluid the use in the transmission with the "sport mode"….

i know the vehicle did not come from Diamond motors…. because it's a 2012 Triton 2.5 DiD 4x4… the gear shifter goes PRND then + & - "sport mode" as described online….

Didn't get an owner's manual in the glovebox or online. Usually the spec is listed.
Double R Auto in Sando/Couva can probably help. I get a lot of my stuff there. Maruds in marabella has genuine stuff too

Cuz, you don't have a CVT transmission vehicle. You have CNG and a Variable Geometry turbo and tiptronic transmission which is simply an automatic transmission that allows you change gears as you would in a manual transmission, minus the clutch. Your best fluid will be the kind described on the first page of this thread. Alternatively you can use Castrol, Valvoline or most other ATFs. Hope that helps

Been a lil while since I did anything other than regular maintenance on the KB8 and as with most things, some mods are done out of a necessity (of peace of mind and silence the wife's complaints)

for those of us with a sunroof model . . . the automatic drivers, the sunroof position has the hood light situated all the way up front, between the sun visor which offers little light in the back seats. Mitsubishi didnt consider putting a rear hood light to provide illumination in the back there.

Image

So I wired up my own.

Bought a LED hood light off Amazon

Gold Stars F3528001 Natural White LED Dome Light (Fixture Single 921 Wedge 150 Lumens 12v)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CZ ... UTF8&psc=1
Image

just 6.5" in length to fit behind the sunroof retraction area of the hood

Installation was a quick and dirty, but just as effective as the longer more detail option of removing the hood liner

1. Loosen hood liner by removing the two clips that hold it in place above the read windshield, remove the left or right side handle grips above the door and remove the upper finisher by the rear seatbelts (you have to unbolt the top of the rear seat belt). This allows 1 hand to just fit inside the space between the hood liner and the underside of the roof metal. You should see the sunroof drain line.

2. Mark off the install spot with a marker to mark off the spot for securing the light fixture to the hoodliner. With a sharp knife, cut a small incision in the hood line and feed the electrical wire that would power the new hood lamp. The light fixture comes with screws, but I did not use them. I secured the fixture to the hood liner with some thin, strong wires. you can use tie straps if you like.
Image

3. Feed the wire to the side of the sunroof drain line.
Image

4. Cut small incision where the marks for the screws are and feed the wire through
Image

5. Terminate the wires from the light fixture to the electrical wire and pull the excess at the top of seatbelt. Leave just a little slack.
Image

6. Loop the securing wires through the screw holes on the fixture
Image
Image

7. Push the fixture up against the hood liner and twist the wires to hold firmly in place. Nip off the excess
Image
Image

8. Install the diffuser on the fixture
Image

9. Remove any excess wiring from inside the roof by pulling the power cable at the top of seatbelt, leaving just a little slack and secure the wire to the sunroof drain line
Image

10. Run the power cable through the lower finisher to the floor of the truck
Image

11. Connect the power cable to a 12V supply of your choice. I chose to use the auxillary connector by the handbrake. So the power cable in installed under the floor carpet and front passenger seat
Image

12. Power up light
Image

13. Re-install the finishers and hood liner

Difference is night and light

WITHOUT THE REAR HOOD LIGHT

WITH THE REAR HOOD LIGHT

blower decided to take a crap today. Well tbh the truck is 10 years old and I've had it for more than 4, ac pumpin everyday
It worked fine this morning, started after lunch and nada.
Compressor coming on, no blower.
It was giving trouble though, for some time, the speed was fluctuating on its own on set speeds, I guess today was just the last.

King Kool will sort me out because they did stellar work on the evap change 3 years ago, so they will get my business this time too.

I'll update on cost when they sort it out.

Def the blower. This morn when I started it worked, although I had to crank it to max to get it at 15% normal flow.

They replaced the blower motor, cabin filter and installed a new belt that I walked with for 1150.

working good now.

They did this in less than 45 minutes, barely got a chance to get a cup of coffee in Subway. Mad props to King Kool

Got mines sorted for $120, turned out to be the brushes in the blower motor...they were worn down

Do you know what gearbox/transfer case and diff oil is good for these vans?
Also the quantity that is required?
