w.t.k rattling noise in L200 4wd

Postby muddgutts » September 9th, 2009, 3:47 pm

fellow tuners anytime the van is started the noise is not there until i engage and disengaged the clutch there is a loud rattling noise. At this point it only stops when the engine is switched off or your foot is fully on the clutch pedal. Has anyone ever experienced this? could it be the release bearing?

been there

still there

it's a bearing in the gearbox

not the clutch release bearing - i changed mine and the noise just reduced until the new bearing (OEM) got some wear and there it was there again

all them mitsu truck does suffer with it

running mine for 1.5 years now

and it is a 2003 k74t

thanx for the info. can you recommend someone to check it out, also where did you get the bearing? Firm or external parts supplies (faiz, sherriffs)?

Told ya . . . it's common with Mitsi gearboxes when they age

Clutch release bearing bought outside

NTN 55-17-11 - $195.00 Ramai's Auto Supplies

That is the exact bearing you will get in firm in a Mitsu OEM parts box (opened it myself on firm) for $750.00
