Check with the people on O-Meara Rd, Autogas I think not certain, but I believe they do installations. They are at the entrance to the industrial estate. Why do you want to install cng on your ranger again?

Diesel systems work at a ratio of about 80% cng
and 20% diesel. Better mileage, lower EGT temps
and most importantly, UP TO 100 extra HP!

This is what they sent me:

Hi Christopher,

The injection unit is $1200, and includes everything but the tank. If you need the fill valve and high pressure gauge for the tank, it is an additional $100. Shipping to Miami would be $25.

(all prices in USD)

The gas will increase power by 35 to 40%. It will really wake it up.

Don't think I can afford it right now.....

Soon my friend we will have a diesel CNG as I will be installing the 1st kit on my Navara.I will keep you posted as to its success.Unlike a gasoline car which is a straightforward installation the diesel as you know is not a spark ignition engine and would require a little more than just the regular parts you would use in a gasoline vehicle to assist the combustion short of modifying the engine with the installation of a spark plug which will be very costly, time consuming and not economical in the long run.But with the prices of fuel (all) proposed to increase very soon, government is moving swiftly to put the infrastructure so no one will have an excuse when it does.So as i said I will keep you posted.http://www.energy.gov.tt/content/Raymon ... 202011.pdf

I take it that Navara engine will end up becoming a dedicated natural gas engine and not a dual fuel engine :?:

That's the best ratio of the combination. Gives you superior mileage and the desired engine efficiency.

We test drove a Toyota Hilux from Toyota Trinidad Ltd in August 2012 with a factory CNG conversion kit. The vehicle was imported by the dealership with the kit installed.

Zorce magazine (Issue #18) did a full review on the vehicle as they did a 10 day extensive test drive.

AFAIK N&M has tested 4 Navaras with the kit already.

A major petrochemical company in T&T ordered about 30 Sporteros with CNG/Diesel setup

this is certainly not a 1st

the cost to convert from Desiel to CNG is pretty high , estimate about 50K ( saw on news, not sure).

http://www.omnitekcorp.com/engconvert.htm
http://www.energyconversions.com/whitep ... ngines.pdf

No way the average man can afford to do a conversion on their own, govt need to subside this heavily to make it a success. Or give discount in MVT on CNG vehicles.
