WTK: Kia K2700 Temp Gauge

I have a K2700 about 2 weeks old and the temperature gauge is always just below half, even when i start on mornings. Last weekend I didn't start for 36 hours and when I did the temperature drop to just above quarter, but this week it stayed at half everyday. Is this normal? Service department at Southern Sales said it is normal.

Talk to the service manager and ask him to show you this behaviour on another one in the yard.
