Help on D22 Frontier YD25DDTi Fuel Pump Issue

Postby K_Ali » June 11th, 2017, 11:58 am

Hello All,

I recently got an issue with my D22 Frontier YD25DDTi, Tumbles but does not start. Only starts when the Fuel Primer is primed and Pedal is Depressed all the way after a long while.

After it starts you can hear a loud clicking noise being emitted which sounds like its coming from the Fuel Pump.
The engine also idles rough, if the Primer is pumped the engine will idle as normal, if stopped the rough idle returns.
The loud clicking is always present.

I need your input if possible.

See Video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Paq9APGPIpA

Thanks in Advance

Plenty air in there...change filter, check for presence water.
Ensure fuel lines are tight by the filter.

Thanks for the reply, it has a new fuel filter recently installed and I have double checked the lines. The most recent thing I did was change the copper washers for the injectors.

I did bleed the lines, but will attempt again.

Yep I did, removed the Intercooler loosen the lines running to the injectors one by one and made sure fuel was visible. Was done by priming and someone tumbling the engine
