Drifting with TORSEN lsd?

Postby Dave-ve » July 21st, 2013, 8:45 am

Is it possible? My car is built mainly for grip driving and this is the cheapest lsd swap right now. There is mixed reviews on the net. Anyone use this?

a torsen sometimes are a pain, some work well. IMO they work pretty good for grip...for drifting it'll continue to be a step behind. they just dont provide the aggressive lock up needed for proper drifting

So which would you prefer?
Welded? OR normal lsd? or aftermarket 2 way? (application is a a31 cifero, could go either skyline or s13)

Daily?
If not, weld that b!tch.

Mind you, daily with welded diff is drive able.
It's all according to your driving style.

Looking for myself. Either a 2 way or a stock lsd, it's not gonna be drifting but a few skids. Gonna build one before the year finished

^^speaks the truth....will change to a 2way as soon as i can afford. it'll reduce my wear n tear during street driving by a large margin. welded diff is great for drifting altho sometimes its so aggressive it bites u in the ass.

I know most drifters weld it up for it to be predictable.

I rather not make a new topic but. You use a hydro brake? If so you use the stock rear calipers or you ran another setup?
