This Sunday the drivers of the TTKA will let it all hang out on the track for the final championship event of 2011. There is still close competition to decide who will be the champions of their respective classes and even though some competitors have mathematically sealed their championship fate, everyone else wants to finish their season on a high.
It's the best side by side racing action in the country with drivers putting their wheels less than an inch apart from the barriers and each other, and sometimes not apart at all resulting in bent axels, tempers flaring and occasionally a heated exchange of words. Nose to tail, bumper to bumper at the exit of a corner and the driver behind diving to the inside of the hairpin trying to muscle his way past. He can come out in front or they can both end up in the barriers if no one gives way. It's a high speed game of chess that revs past 15,000 rpm and accelerators faster than your friends Subaru that you think is the fastest thing around since the SKF box lancer.
Racing begins at 12:00. Coolers are welcome. Entry Fee is only $20.00 for adults and free for kids 16 and under. Come check out what our club is all about and maybe even sign up for 2012 membership.
