Okie... as Stated Before:

Meeting Time and Place:
Pizza Hut, Gulf View @ 7:00AM

Route as follows:
South and West Along South Trunk Road and Southern Main Road all the way to Bonasse, South along Fullerton Road and Colombia Road, to Icacos.

Return Route:
Same as above. (varations depending on the masses....)

Safety and other issues:
This part of Trinidad is very remote. And driving on the beach makes it even more away from anything. It is also dangerous, as the sand can be deceptive, very deceptive.... Also, given the reputation of the area, caution must be also taken wrt security.
Please bring your ropes, chains, hachets, cutlasses, screw drivers etc etc to facilitate any problem we may encounter either mechanically (vehicles) or physical obstruction.

Food, Rest stops:
Limited or no food outlets, rest stops (pee pee, etc) after Pt. Fortin. Please come prepared. You are forwarned :-)

We rolling out of Gulf View at 7:30 SHARP!!! Be there on time, or you will have to play catch up! ;-)

Sweeky, doh play yuh backing out now wh,

we done down by 3 superheroes, we need our leader

now we have to be careful not to get stuck, cuz we have no Doc to engineer a solution to get unstuck, no pun intended

the head baker out, so we have coffee, no donuts

and for comic relief, we have to settle for freak

we might see TL on this one

i gonna get my TC mount sorted out on sat b4 teh run

I suggest we do a roll call and see how many vans are going.

If less than 5 'experienced' vans going ... I suggest we postpone until Biggy gets back in July (tentatively 11-12th).

What do you guys think?

guys, as much as i'd like to wait for a bigger lime, we have to remember this run is based on tides and although we can reschedule an Icacos run, we'd miss out on the driving on the beach experience.

What say you guys?

this is true. as many as can make it on the scheduled day; its worth the experience. its the lowest tide for the year and you will be able to drive almost all of the shore

but keep July 11--12 free guys.....i feel a big run will be on 8-)

No offense taken. U raised valid points for and against going. since the deciding factors are numbers and experience. What is the "magic" number that will make this venture a go.How many vans (experienced and inexperienced) do we need to make this run? whatever d decision yea or nae make it soon so i can plan my weekend.
