SideB "GR Overnight Run" 21-23/03/2014

Folks.......
last year we made a run to a private estate in Grand Rivere, located in the deep north east, to a forested area where we embarked upon a peaceful lodge/camp with a relaxing pond, the area is surrounded by virgin forests, rare fruit trees, crayfish and fresh water fish.
This year as an alternative and option to mud as the dry season is drying up most common trails, we are planning to do an "overnight" run to the Grand Rivere estate & overnight at a private beachouse facility in the Toco area. The date in mind is from Friday 21st March to Sunday 23rd March. The owners are most excited and pleased to have us. The Run will be divided into 3 tranches
(1) first crew (Campers), will head to the Toco beach house on Friday evening and spend the night there, they will push out on Saturday morning to GR in order to reach the campsite in daylight and set up for their overnight stay, reason for this is to eliminate having to make the long haul from your home all the way to GR in one day......
(2) second crew (beach housers), will head up Saturday evening to the Toco beach house where they will spend the night, maybe taking a dip in the pool and having some broth. Waking up early Sunday morning to head up to GR, leaving toco promptly at 800, to meet up with the......
(3) third crew (stragglers), who will have to make their way up to Toco and be on time, Crews 2 & 3 will regroup at "upset stomach" beach for exactly 800 and make way up to GR, where they will enter the trail and meet up with Crew 1.
the reason for these partitions is one, to ease up the stress of a driver and vehicle having to make the long haul in one go, and two, to allow differently scheduled persons to partake of the run ie persons working shift/late/cant get visa.....
so who's in, who wanna be in and who cyah get in???
the run is an open run, more details, menu and meeting points will be up later on......

viewtopic.php?f=58&t=521336&start=30this trail can become quite challenging at times,
so this run will be limited to MTs, AT/HT will be accepted for drivers that we kno can handle themselves on the trail, AASTRA, Telfer, Lyndon, Marky Mark, Dale, Nicholas etc.....
if u have ATs/HTs and want to get in on this and its ur first time offroading with us, u will have to park ur ride up and take a drop, stockers will be stickers on this run......

Anyone making the overnight Friday ie the camper and have any question please feel free to call me @ 3797639.
Also I would like to organize a menu of what we plan to cook for the overnight camp. And if we can meet up a day to organize some groceries.
That's would be best.
Feel free to call and ask any question about the terrain also.

for the campers, be mindful of the creepy crawlies..... walk wid yuh repellant (Off or Odomos with citronella). Keep yuh bags zipped just in case sumting happen to crawl up and surprise yuh when yuh least expect it.
Good advice for the new guys to park and ride along.
I really missin out on dis one!!!!

Don't tote bro, u are one of the few long lost soldiers we always recall in our talks, we kno if u were in trini, "the big beard fella with the hilux" woulda be rampant on these runs, one if these good days bro!!!

Yes guys. The time is getting closer to the run and it going to be one to remember.
For the people heading up to camp Saturday into Sunday in Grand Rivière I suggest you make a decision before the
Friday 14th and put down your name so that we can contact you.
Also of you are bringing more than 2 persons with you please let us know as they would have to be catered for as well.
The overnight camp is catered for and you can't just appear.
Apologies for that.
So please do not wait last minute
This is to make sure that everyone there is catered for and that we can discuss a menu with everyone making the overnight and make sure that they are comfortable with the menu.
Make sure no one has any allergies etc.
So when Friday reached and we have a final head count, we would contact you and let you know the next plan.
Also please don't worry when we say camp. There is no need to think that you will be sleeping on the ground.
There is a house with lights via generator and water.

Best way to experience this run is camp out.
Those who not spending the night by the beach house Friday. We looking to make an early movements. Saturday morning. So I you meeting us up Saturday morning. Please reach beach house location before 8:30am.

We having two guests who will venture lonesome and find us up there on Saturday for the day, some say one has a SideB tracking device!!!!
