Grenada Drag Wars Update: Trini cars locked in boat on port

The cars would be leaving Trinidad @ about 6PM tonight on the boat, heading to Grenada. They should arrive at about 8am, once all the cars are cleared, they'll be transported to Pearls Airstrip for the event on sat & sun.

Will update as I go along.

UPDATE 1 @ 14/03/2013

well there was a horrific upset today when the cars were forced to stay in trinidad.... yet already IN the boat...

here's what happened:
all cars were there (on time .... for once....) everyone who was supposed to go on the boat, were there (also ... on time.... for once...) ..... waited patiently..... the boat actually got a space to dock early (about 2pm....for once....) .... then Ravi held a little gathering explaining some situation that today is a public holiday in st vincent.... and that the insurance certificates were not attainable today and would be available tomorrow.... at 10am (friday) .... seeing that most of the drivers booked the early am flights on friday (6:40am and 11:15am) ..... there was a unanimous decision to load all the cars on the boat tonight, so when the documents are in hand tomorrow, it should be easier for the boat to leave trinidad and sail to GND.....

...GMC is prepared to pay the extra port charges to have the port ready to clear passengers and cars WHATEVER time they arrive @ GND.... (so they say.... )....

...the boat CAN NOT leave BEFORE 12pm tomorrow.... those travelling on the boat would most likely miss the party @ Bananas Club on friday night.... also those who have booked rooms for friday would have to pay that cost even though never having stayed in the room on friday....

...will update more soon.... and will prolly post a couple pix from the port a bit later....

Update from Stefan from the Kingston 12 camp at 3:15 p.m. : The boat has some document issues and customs impounded the boat cars packed since yesterday and men passport stamp this morning. a cancellation sounds very much possible at this point

why was that vessel even allowed to load the cars in the first place, customs was supposed to put a hold on any operation that was taking place with it when it first berth/docked alongside the pier.
