Water trap sensor i paid 300 or so new.

Started up after mounting up and was white smoking plenty....the egr valve vacum port was broke so i steel epoxyd it and idle stop smoking but when i rev it smokes alot....

Im wondering if i need to change the egr valve itself or the last injector i got is not all that....its confusing

That's a good price for the thermostat. 747, white smoke, might not be the injector. White smoke tends to be crack block or gaskets. You need to check if its going away after a drive could just be deposits around the ring. If its the EGR you will have some idling issues and loss of power. I say give it a run.

Well I was getting the white smoke without any water in the system, so I know for sure its not water....temps was normal for the drive I did and long idling so that part is good. Filled water before I drove, but the no water was when I now started and left it idling.

It smells like bbq so im thinking it has to be old bug spray or diesel or injector 4 is giving its problem now

Its got TONS of power but clouding up the road :(

I unbolted the exhaust from the downpipe and realized theres no smoke, and very little when revving....so im wondering now

Well my guess would be the injectors again, other causes would be the timing or issues from low compression, piston ring.
But you getting power and no smoke from the unbolted exhaust...so not sure. What about the EGR?

So I just drove the sportage with no exhaust.....felt nice sounding like that, take off amazing....

NO SMOKE, I pressed and pressed and no smoke! So looks like my exhaust piping has to come out and pressure wash with cleaning chemicals bcuz when I say it smokes badly with the exhaust, it makes clouds in the ground LOL. I figure its diesel that was flooding from the injector I borrowed and it was flooding til the point it left diesel stuck in exhaust pipe and diesel is oily so it will settle

Cleaned exhaust and got alot of old diesel out but its smoking blue but not making clouds.....friend of mines told me rings need to seat properly and i have to drive it like bamboo to town for a week and it should stop so i will have to use it....

Cruising its very nice and nice to hear that turbo sound for once...

If smoking doesn't stop in a week the it means i got ripped off by the people with the block and i will post names

Right so less smoke each day, im driving it and breaking it in, no more than 60 but the turbo pushing power nice so it going to 80-90 so easy lol. Just hadda go 60-70km/h and let go and go back again....helps seat rings....

Today was a nice feel driving it with no visible smoke from rear view

So driving it no issues until yesterday, probably put about 400kms on the engine so far....

I believe injector 4 is faulty so black smoke when pressing. But works good.

Yesterday in the traffic, grand b, was idling for like 30 mins, then in traffic in there about 15 mins....when heading up the overpass van started overheating, noticed it by ac blowing hot....temps went up to 3/4, ended up changing route to go back bamboo.....switched off by light and started and it was on half and went back up to 3/4 in 10 seconds....

Parked up by the mosque in bamboo for a 5 mins, and started up to go home and temps was normal, reached home, normal, left it idling, normal, revved, normal....

Hour later, I opened the cap and started it up and filled about half gallon water in bottle and left it idling and temp will obviously cant cross 1/4 from no pressure, but I was seeing tiny air bubbles every 5-6 seconds. Kept filling water to over flow bottle to try to get air out and closed cap and remained normal.

Drove it the night and was normal. Drove it today whole day and normal, and went town and back, normal.

Im thinking its either an air pocket I didn't get out or bcuz I didn't install a thermostat yet, the traffic built up hot water from the hot engine and left the radiator hot and when the second time we started back after cooling, it circulated the cooler side of water it got from cooling down and cycled the water to stay cool with fan

OR could be the fan was giving trouble and didn't come on at a point.

That's some wired overheating going on there...may be it's the fan? Or lack of thermostat?

So far no issues, not losing water or oil. Changed the 4th injector tip, when I scrapped them, one of the spacers in the injector that was on currently, was off....so I put the other good injector tip with everything properly installed and van got more power....still some black smoke on idle, but SLIGHT, I think mornings only....

Over half or 3/4 throttle it black smokes, but we gutted our catalyst and I also feel our EGR valve is bad.

But other than that, van works good....

Oh yea, same day it had overheat, I swapped relays and so Im thinking the heat prolly stuck the fan relay or something...

You wanna try a good product and see if it helps?
Try diesel purge by liquid moly. Trust me it works. I'm not familiar with the fuel system but it usually needs to go into the Injector pump bypassing all filters.

Does wonders for diesel.

ok so some bad news..........apparently the block I got was not done properly, not sleeved....

Turbo is good....I removed the hose from turbo intake hose going to valve cover and block it and ran a small filter on the valve cover.....and some its fuming out and oil spitting out of there, the tiny filter is getting really hot so it smoking it a bit....oil cover has no smoke coming out of it....but I figure theres back pressure.

I will get a name of the person I got the block from as they have a company bcuz its upsetting to spend that money and the people had prayers that day and lied.

So yea, this is so upsetting im not even going to work for the next 2 weeks til my head cools down.

No money, have no choice but to trade my two cars I have that was supposed to finish soon for a cheap stock b15 or something to carry child to school.....I spent a total of 80k on both those cars and have no choice bcuz I cant afford a head and block....FU is 18K and a complete engine is 25K at car city.....I have not even close to 1/4 of that amount

Sorry to hear about 747 problems. They sound similar to mine, that why I sent for a complete engine.
